Hi 741sjb,

the FXOS8700CQ is active, however it is planed to be discontinued with no replacement. The last order date is Dec/1/2021 and last delivery date Dec/1/2023. Please see a .pptx attached describing planed discontinuation of some NXP parts.

We apologize for any inconveniences raised by this discontinuation!

With Best Regards,

Jozef

Hello.
Just a quick comment on this issue:
I've just received a brand new NXP_MIMXRT1170-EVK Evaluation Kit, that doesn't operate as expected according to the documentation, when just powered by 5V - the Red LED flashes fast and the Green LED is steady on - instead of fading the LED intensity when tilting the board...
I was about to make a question on that, but felt a bit stupid when I realized that the FXOS8700CQ is not even mounted on the board...!!
I believe that explains the behaviour of the Board, and it is not faulty etc..
So - two things:
- Update the Documentation that FXOS8700CQ in NOT onboard
newer Kits!
- Don't load a Default App, that runs on the FXOS8700CQ!

Thanks.
- Jesper K.
