With the MMA8452, my current measurements at ODR=100Hz in Normal mode and in Low Power mode are both 1.5mA, which are much higher than the datasheet's claim of 44uA and 24uA.
What's even more strange is that I'm getting 2.2mA at ODR=6.25Hz in both Normal and Low Power modes. How could this be the case? How could such low ODR be drawing even more current?

Hi Hans,
How are you measuring this current consumption? Are not there other devices drawing current as well?
Also be aware that the current consumption stated in the datasheet applies for VDD = 2.5V and has been measured with an amperemeter between 2.5V voltage rail and VDD input only (not VDDIO).
