The following video shows how to easily connect a keypad to a Kinetis part: https://youtu.be/vGk-b40EgL0
The KL82 is used as reference, but the same code works on any Kinetis device.
After a few minutes the configuration/connections are complete and it can be tested/used in Visual Studio to develop applications based on it without the need for keypad hardware to be available (or ready yet).
