I am working on a project using an FRDM-KL25Z dev board. I realized that the circuit I am designing is small enough to work well as shield for the board. I have never designed a shield before so I thought it would be a good thing to learn how to do.
I need to ensure that the headers on the shield line up with the headers on the dev board so that the shield can be plugged into the dev board. I have not been able to find any CAD model of the board that would allow me to do this easily. Is measurement with calipers my only option to find these dimensions? I do not own calipers so this would be a problem.
Hello @MelonM ,
Thanks for your post. The FRDM-KL25Z board is designed with pinouts following the Arduino UNO R3 shield standard. You can find the Arduino reference design online to obtain the relevant data.
Alternatively, you can also download the FRDM KL25Z Design Files(FRDM-KL25Z|Freedom Development Platform|Kinetis® MCU | NXP Semiconductors), and open the following files to obtain the data.
Hope it can help you.
BRs,
Celeste
