Descriptions on the issue: running “uuu uuu-android-mx8mq-evk-emmc.lst” No any problem, downloading images is OK. running “uuu_imx_android_flash.bat -f imx8mq -a -e” Below lines will be showed on windows console: flash the file of u-boot-imx8mq.imx to the partition of bootloader0 <waiting for any devices>             Then downloading operation stopped. ------------------------------------------------------------------------                 In order to help uses save development time, I tested above 2 commands for downloading images on windows 7 64bit and windows 10 64bit respectively.                 Below is detailed steps for the operation: Hardware Preparations (1) Switch SW802 on i.MX8MQ EMEK, set 1-4 off, 2-3 on i.MX8MQ is at usb serial download mode. (2) Connecting J1701 to PC USB by a USB OTG cable. (3) Connecting J901(usb type c) to PC USB by a USB 3.0 cable. (4) Plugging [email protected] adapter into Power Jack (J902) (5) Power on I.MX8MQ board via SW701 Switch Software Preparations (1) Related windows drivers for i.MX8MQ MEK                 Windows 7 64bit or windows 10 64bit will find new devices and begin to search and install corresponding drivers, like below:                 Probably windows 10 64bit can’t automatically install CP2105 driver from official website of manufacture: https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers                 Then installed it manually. (2) Power off i.MX8MQ MEK (3) Installing winusb driver by zadig                 According to method described in uuu.pdf, download zadig tool from https://zadig.akeo.ie/, and install it to windows 7 64bit . [Note] windows 10 64bit doesn’t need to install winusb driver. Press “Install WCID Driver” Button (4) Downloading Android SDK Manager Download SDK Manager from : http://visualgdb.com/android/install_redir?item=SDK After downloading it, decompress it, and run SDK Manager application: Press OK. Then press “Close” Close SDK Manager Installation Guide . Find the directory of SDK Manager installation, and enter into “platform-tools”, like below: D:\i.MX8-Projects\IMX8MQ-MEK-windows-drivers\android-sdk_r24.4.1-windows\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools Copy items in blue rectangle to C:\windows\system Copy items in red rectangle to C:\windows\system32     Beginning to download android images to I.MX8MQ MEK via UUU Tool (1) Downloading android DEMO images for i.MX8MQ MEK https://www.nxp.com/support/developer-resources/software-development-tools/i.mx-developer-resources/evaluation-kit-for-the-i.mx-8m-applications-processor:MCIMX8M-EVK?tab=Design_Tools_Tab After downloading it, decompress it to a directory.  Like below: (2) Downloading UUU Tool https://github.com/NXPmicro/mfgtools/releases After downloading uuu.exe,  copy it to the directory of android 9.0 demo image , see above. (3) Run command “uuu_imx_android_flash.bat -f imx8mq -a -e” ----Power on i.MX8MQ MEK. ----open a command line window ---open Hyper terminal ( set it 115200 bps) ---run “uuu_imx_android_flash.bat -f imx8mq -a -e”           For windows 10 64bit, downloading images will be done without any errors.    But for windows 7 64bit, downloading images will stop at “ waiting for any devices”.    It means Android ADB driver will be needed. Follow the steps below to solve the problem. Right button, click “update driver” Close it.           Then downloading operations will be automatically continued. OK, done. Many times I came across one issue while using Redlib in MXUXpresso IDE project. I like to provide some guidance here to match the proper solution that can help others. Problem Statement : printf or sprintf doesn't print anything or printing random characters while using Redlib library. Reason : When you are creating your project you may ask to choose the c/c++ library setting to select either of the c libray provided by IDE in Advanced project setting wizard. If you have not checked the option "Redlib: Use floating point version of printf" (which will use the floating-point variant of printf) have tried to print the floating point value, You will end up with the problem mentioned above. Solution : You need to enable the floating support by modifying some preprocessor directives in "Defined symbols (-D)" wizard of your project. Path :  Your Project > properties > C/C++ Build > Setiings > Tool Settings > MCU C Compiler > Preprocessor. These are: PRINTF_FLOAT_ENABLE - keep the directive value to "1" SCANF_FLOAT_ENABLE - keep the directive value to "1" CR_INTEGER_PRINTF - Undefine/Remove this directive Click on Apply and close. That is it. Now you will have your expected prints for floating point values in your debugger console.

This documents describes how to add the NFC support to i.MX8M mini evk running Android Pie. Hardware setup: The i.MX8M mini evk (see i.MX 8M Mini Evaluation Kit | NXP) featuring Raspberry Pi compliant connector, the OM5578/RPI PN7150 demo kit can be used to perform this porting (see NFC Development Kits for Arduino and more|NXP). However a small modification must be done because some of the signals required by PN7150 are not mapped to i.MX8M mini expansion connector pins. OM5578 IRQ signal must be mapped to Raspberry Pi connector pin #19 and OM5578 VEN signal must be mapped to Raspberry Pi connector pin #21. See below a picture of the modification: Then, the two boards can fit together as shown in the picture below: Quick start using demo image: The demo image including support for PN7150, is based on Android P9.0.0 Pie (P9.0.0_1.0.0, 4.14 kernel) i.MX software release (see i.MX Software | NXP). Related documentation can be downloaded from here: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/android_p9.0.0_1.0.0-ga_docs.zip. Just flash the demo image (downloaded from here:https://www.nxp.com/lgfiles/updates/NFC/ANDROID_P9-0-0_PN7150_IMAGE_8MMEVK.zip) following guidelines from i.MX_Android_Quick_Start document (part of Android P9.0.0_1.0.0 Documentation package mentioned above). The NFC support is then included in the device settings, as shown in below screenshot of the device: Approaching the NFC tag, provided as reference in the OM5578 demo kit, to the NFC Antenna will trigger a sound notification: Unfortunately the Android demo image doesn't embed a web browser, so it won't be automatically open when the NFC tag content (an URL to the demo kit web page) is read. Otherwise (if a web browser is installed) you could see such page opening on the device: Adding PN7150 support to imx-android-pie release: If you wish to add PN7150 support to your imx-android-pie environment, just apply the patches (imx-p9.0.0_1.0.0-ga_pn7150_patches.tar.gz file attached) from the ${MY_ANDROID} source code root folder (refer to i.MX_Android_User_Guide document part of Android P9.0.0_1.0.0 Documentation package mentioned above).  $ patch -p1 -d device/fsl/ <device_fsl.patch  $ patch -p1 -d packages/apps/Nfc <packages_apps_Nfc.patch  $ patch -p1 -d hardware/nxp/nfc <hardware_nxp_nfc.patch  $ patch -p1 -d vendor/nxp <vendor_nxp.patch  $ patch -p1 -d vendor/nxp-opensource/kernel_imx/ <vendor_nxp-opensource_kernel_imx.patch When building, the PN7150 support will then be included to the android image, as shown in the demo image described above. Reference: This porting have been done (demo image and patches creation) following guidelines provided in AN11690_NXP-NCI_Android_Porting_Guidelines document.

The native Yocto not support chinese, so need to add chinese font . The first step should download Chinese font  files such as  MSYHMONO.ttf and DroidSansFallback.ttf.Then copy fonts files to /usr/share/fonts/truetype and run command  fc-cache .update font cache. use fc-list :lang=zh can see which Chinese fonts are installed:          /usr/share/fonts/truetype/MSYHMONO.ttf: Microsoft YaHei Mono:style=Regular          /usr/share/fonts/truetype/DroidSansFallbackFull.ttf: Droid Sans Fallback:style=Regular The secend step is to change default fonts. In weston-terminal.c we can see:           3119   weston_config_section_get_string(s, "font", &option_font, "mono");           3120   weston_config_section_get_int(s, "font-size", &option_font_size, 14);  weston-terminal default use mono font.Just to modify /etc/fonts/fonts.conf           <edit name="family" mode="assign" binding="same">                       <string>monospace</string> to   <string>Microsoft YaHei Mono</string> or <string>Droid Sans Fallback</string> could display Chinese character   But it have some problem such like as :   the left use Microsoft YaHei Mono font the Chinese character is overlapping ,the right use Droid Sans Fallback font is en-font could not display. If you have a better way to welcome a message!

For imx8QM, The manufacture mode is supported on SD2 which is powered by LDO2 of PMIC2 on MEK board. LDO2 of PMIC2 on MEK board is OFF by default. (LDO2 of PMIC1 is on by default) So manufacture mode is NOT working on the imx8QM MEK board. the solution would be: 1. schematic change Exchange the power supply(VCC_LDO_SD) and USDHC_VSELECT signal of SD2 and SD1. between PMIC2 (U23) and PMIC 1(U10). so that, the VCC_LDO_SD2) and USDHC2_VSELECT will be located on where VCC_LDO_SD1) and USDHC1_VSELECT are origonally.  and VCC_LDO_SD1 and USDHC1_VSELECT will be located on where VCC_LDO_SD2) and USDHC2_VSELECT are origonally.  SD1 will no longer be supported as the boot resource, instead SD2 will be. anyway you still can connect a WIFI to SD1 , becasue the power supply can be turned on after software booting up. 2. Modify the default fuse of PMIC, whcih is to enable LDO2 of PMIC2 by default.     please contact your local FAE and Sales for this.  we may add notification in the reference schematic and HW development guild in the future.

Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms (BLAS) is a specification that prescribes a set of low-level routines for performing common linear algebra operations such as vector addition, scalar multiplication, dot products, linear combinations, and matrix multiplication. OpenBLAS is an optimized BLAS library which is uesd for deep learning accelerator in Caffe/Caffe2. I enable it in Yocto (Rocko) by adding bb file. And I build on i.MX6QP, i.MX7ULP and i.MX8MQ and also run its test example successfully. You can find test example(openblas_utest) under folder image/opt/openblas/bin of OpenBLAS work directory. Currently, version 0.3.0 is supported in the bb file. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ update to v 0.3.6 and enable mutli-thread by set USE_OPENMP=1 and USE_THREAD=4 when compiling this library.

meta-avs-demos Yocto layer meta-avs-demos is a Yocto meta layer (complementary to the NXP BSP release for i.MX) published on CodeAurora that includes the additional required packages to support  Amazon's Alexa Voice Services SDK (AVS_SDK) applications. The build procedure is the described on the README.md of the corresponding branch. We have 2 fuctional branches now: imx-alexa-sdk: Support for Morty based i.mx releases imx7d-pico-avs-sdk_4.1.15-1.0.0: legacy support for Jethro releases The master branch is only used to collect manifest files, that used with repo init/sync commands will fetch the whole environment for the 2 special supported boards: i.MX7D Pico Pi and i.MX8M EVK. However the meta-avs-demos can be used with any i.MX board either. Recipes to include Amazon's Alexa Voice Services in your applications. The meta-avs-demos provides the required recipes to build an i.MX image with the support for running Alexa SDK. The imx-alexa-sdk branch is based on Morty and kernel 4.9.X and it supports the next builds: i.MX7D Pico Pi i.MX8M EVK Generic i.MX board For the i.MX7D Pico Pi and i.MX8M EVK there is an extended support for additional (external) Sound Cards like: TechNexion VoiceHat: 2Mic Array board with DSPConcepts SW support Synaptics Card: 2 Mic with Sensory WakeWord support The Generic i.MX is for any other regular i.MX board supported on the official NXP BSP releases. Only the default soundcard (embedded) on the board is supported. Sensory wakeword is currently only enabled for those with ARMV7 architecture. To support any external board like the VoiceHat or Synaptics is up to the user to include the additional patches/changes required. Build Instructions Follow the corresponding README file to follow the steps to build an image with Alexa SDK support README-IMX7D-PICOPI.md README-IMX8M-EVK.md README-IMX-GENERIC.md
