EUF-HMB-T1750 - Wireless connectivity represents a fundamental aspect of the home automation applications we will see in a near future, local wireless connected nodes are the building block of a domestic network. During this session the presenter will introduce NXP Semiconductors relevant technology for the simple node up to the gateway towards the external world. The session will also have a focus on the security aspects that are becoming more and more important in the everything connected scenario.

Bluetooth speakers and headsets, printers, cameras, projectors, set-top-boxes, TVs, Wi-Fi routers, fridges and washing machines, they all have one thing in common: Near-field-communication (NFC) which allows new features and easier handling. Just bringing two NFC-enabled devices close together is all it takes to create a connection. Accessories and consumables can be identified and authenticated without any user interaction. And commissioning an IoT node into a wireless network has never been as easy as it is now with NFC.

In automotive sub-system applications, it is typical to have a central processing unit that interfaces with other peripheral devices, other sub-systems or the user. Often, the signals from these interconnects may be incompatible on both ends. Therefore, various semiconductor devices such as analog switches, high-speed switches, voltage level translators and GPIO expanders are often used to bridge between the interconnects on the board. In this session, we will explore the application of these interface devices from NXP and discuss their applications in automotive sub-systems.

Business Line Smart Antenna Solution delivers a broad range of RF products for many different applications ranging from mobile phones to wireless infrastructure. All these applications require high performance RF products to deliver reliable, high data rate connections. This training will show how our RF products can be successfully used in IoT applications to improve the RF connection: range extension by using LNAs in the receive chain or by adding a PA at the transmit side. Our wide product portfolio ensures that the different needs of IoT (frequency range, power consumption and performance gain) can be met.

Its features include advanced 2D graphics acceleration engine, LCD display controllers, camera sensor interfaces, and audio interfaces for high-performance, multi-channel audio streaming. Join this session to learn how to develop graphics on i.MX RT. The attendees in this class will leave with an i.MX RT1060 board on behalf of Digi-Key.
