It is designed specifically for resource allocation and tracking, resource recovery in fault scenarios, and abstraction, virtualization and management of network functions. These networking functions include network interfaces, switches and aggregators, accelerator interfaces, and more. It's also designed specifically for supporting key attributes for objects management like direct access by different software contexts, dynamic discovery of objects, hot plug/unplug and security and isolation between software contexts.
