Level 3 -5 Autonomous vehicle systems are complex systems where algorithms for perception, localization, planning and control needs to run on real time hardware platform; all algorithm are developed considering off line data storage, simulation, high-definition (HD) mapping, and deep learning model training. This session will go through an overview of autonomous vehicle systems design trying to highlight the major state of the art technologies, mostly referring to algorithms implementation to meet real-time and reliability requirements. A NXP system partition solution will be discussed.

With the push for EV and HEV vehicles and the push for cordless connections in everyday products, there is a growing need for battery cell controllers and battery management systems. In this class, we will discuss the automotive battery management system trends and requirements and we'll go through typical battery management applications. We will examine NXP’s product portfolio and solutions and highlight key product and system features. Finally, we will explore NXP’s tools that make developing battery management systems with NXP.

Creating Graphics on the i.MX RT1060 lab material. The i.MX RT series supports product designs that include advanced multimedia for GUI and enhanced human machine interface (HMI) experience. Its features include advanced 2D graphics acceleration engine, LCD display controllers, camera sensor interfaces, and audio interfaces for high-performance, multi-channel audio streaming. In this class, you will learn to use NXP’s FreeMASTER debug tool to aid in system development and debug. Although it is has many uses in various applications, we will demonstrate the features and use of FreeMASTER to simplify the development process with a motor control example based on our MagniV MC9S12ZVMRM microcontroller. Participants will see how useful and easy it is to use and configure so that system variables can be adjusted on the fly or watch system parameters real time.

EUF-NET-T1742 - This session provides an overview on the security technologies NXP offers to secure a system through two complementary technologies: 1) the Trust Architecture already present in QorIQ P- and T-series including Secure Boot and 2) the TrustZone® technology introduced in the ARM®-based QorIQ LS series processors. We will outline the motivations for offering these technologies in embedded processors and show how they can be complementary for making a final system “Trustable” in the sense it does what its users and suppliers expect it to do.
