I am using TDA8035 chip as interface between smart card reader and micro controller. Chip has 2 options to provide clock to the smart card.
1) external clock : clock provided by controller
2) external crystal oscillator connected to XTAL1 and XTAL2 pins of chip.
I am providing clock from controller during synchronous communication. But i am not getting clock to the smart card during asynchronous communication. As per datasheet/application note there is no option to disable or enable clock out of the chip. I have not found any information about this issue anywhere. Please suggest
