Introduction When a software update is requested by an OTAP Client (a device that receives a software update, commonly Bluetooth LE Peripheral) from the OTAP Server (a device that sends a software update, commonly Bluetooth LE Central), you may want to preserve some data previously acquired, such as bonding information, trimming values for the system oscillators, or probably NVM data for your application. This document guides you in performing OTAP updates preserving the flash data content of your interest. This document is intended for developers familiarized with OTAP custom Bluetooth LE service, for more information, you can take a look at the following post: Reprogramming a KW36 device using the OTAP Client Software.   OTAP Header and Sub-elements OTAP Protocol implements a format for the software update that is composed of a header and a defined number of sub-elements. The OTAP Header describes general information about the software update and it has a defined format shown in the following figure. For more information about the header fields, you can go to 11.4.1 Bluetooth Low Energy OTAP header chapter of the Bluetooth Low Energy Application Developer's Guide document included in the SDK at <SDK_2.2.X_FRDM-KW36_Download_Path>\docs\wireless\Bluetooth                              Each Sub-element contains information for a specific purpose. You could implement your proprietary fields for your application (For more information about sub-element fields, you can go to 11.4.1 Bluetooth Low Energy OTAP header chapter of the Bluetooth Low Energy Application Developer's Guide document included in the SDK at <SDK_2.2.X_FRDM-KW36_Download_Path>\docs\wireless\Bluetooth). OTAP includes the following sub-elements: Image File Sub-element Value Field Lenght (bytes) Description Upgrade Image  Variable This sub-element contains the actual binary executable image which is copied into the flash memory of the OTAP Client device. The maximum size of this sub-element depends on the target hardware. Sector Bitmap 32 This sub-element contains a sector bitmap of the flash memory of the target device which tells the bootloader which sectors should be overwritten and which leave intact. The format of this field is the least-significant bit first for each byte with the least significant bytes and bits standing for the lowest memory sections of the flash.  Image File CRC 2 This is a 16-bit CRC calculated over all elements of the image file except this field itself. This element must be the last sub-element in an image file sent over the air.   OTAP Sector Bitmap Sub-element Field The KW36 Flash is partitioned into: One 256 KB Program Flash (P-Flash) array divided into 2 KB sectors with a flash address range from 0x0000_0000 to 0x0003_FFFF. One 256 KB FlexNVM array divided in 2 KB sectors, flash address ranges from 0x1000_0000 to 0x1003_FFFF with an Alias memory with address range 0x0004_0000 to 0x0007_FFFF. The Bitmap sub-element is 256 bits of length, in terms of the KW36 flash, each bit represents a 2KB sector covering the address range from 0x0 - 0x0007_FFFF (P-Flash to FlexNVM Alias address range), where 1 means that such sector should be erased and 0 means that such sector should be preserved. The Bitmap field is used by the OTAP Bootloader to obtain the address range which should be erased before programming the KW36 with the software update, so it must be configured before sending a software update to leave intact the address range of memory that contain data of your interest and erase only the address range that will be overwritten by the software update.        For example: Suppose that a developer wants to preserve the address range between 0x7D800 - 0x7FFFF and the address range between 0x0 - 0x1FFF, and the left memory must be erased. The address range between 0x7D800 - 0x7FFFF corresponds to the 5 top flash sectors and the address range between 0x0 - 0x1FFF is the lowest 4 sectors. So, it means that bits between 256 and 252 (256, 255, 254, 253 and 252) and bits between 4 and 1 (4,3,2 and 1) should be set to 0, that way OTAP Bitmap for this example is: 0x07FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF0   Configuring OTAP Bitmap to Protect an Address Range with NXP Test Tool Download and install Test Tool for Connectivity products in NXP's web site Open NXP Test Tool 12 software on your PC. Go to "OTA Updates -> OTAP Bluetooth LE" Then load your image file for the software update clicking on the "Browse..." button (NXP Test Tool only accepts .bin and .srec files). You can configure the OTAP Bitmap selecting the "Override sector bitmap" checkbox and changing the default value by your new bitmap value. Once you have configured the bitmap, select "Save...".   Then, a window will be displayed to select the destination to save the .bleota file. Provide a name to identify this file. You can use this file with IoT Toolbox App for Android and iOS to update the software using OTAP. This new .bleota file contains the bitmap that tells to the OTAP Bootloader which sectors will be erased and which sectors will be preserved.

Many applications make use of 32 kHz clocks to keep tracking of real-time or to have a low power time reference for the system. Most of the systems might use a 32.768 kHz XTAL for this purpose. However, there might be some exceptions in which the application requires compensate the frequency of this clock due to temperature changes, aging, or just because the clock provides from a source which frequency is close to the ideal 32.768 kHz, but it presents some variations. QN908x devices require a 32 kHz clock source for some applications like running the BLE stack in low power. 32.768 kHz XTALs are more accurate so they are used to generate a 32 kHz source by compensating for the ppm difference. This provides us with tools to compensate for any external 32 kHz source by first obtaining the ppm difference from the ideal frequency. The solution consists in determining how off is the external clock input frequency from the ideal 32 kHz by making a comparison with a trusted clock in the system, typically the 32 MHz / 16 MHz XTAL. This process is executed in the background in an interrupt-based system so the application can initialize or run other processes in the meantime. Then, the results of the ppm calculation are reported to the main application to compensate for the changes and provide for a more accurate clock source. This example makes use of the following peripherals in the QN908x RTC Seconds Timer CTIMER DMA The RTC Seconds Timer uses the 32 kHz clock source as a reference. It contains an internal 32000 cycles counter that increases each 32 kHz clock period. On overflow, it rises the SEC_INT flag to indicate that one second has elapsed. The CTIMER makes use of the APB clock which derives from the 32 MHz / 16 MHz clock. This timer is used in free-running mode with a Prescaler value of 1 to count the number of APB pulses. The algorithm consists of counting the amount of APB pulses (trusted clock reference) elapsed by the time the RTC SEC_INT flag is set. Ideally, if both clocks are in the right frequency, the number of APB pulses must be equal to the reference clock frequency. For example, if the APB clock is 16 MHz, by the time the SEC_INT flag sets, the CTIMER counter must have a value of 16 x 10 6 counts. Assuming our reference clock is ideal, the difference between the CTIMER counter value and 16 x 10 6 can be used to obtain the ppm difference given the following formula. Where f 0 is the ideal APB frequency (16 MHz) and f 1 is the real measured frequency (CTIMER counter value). Since the pulses counted using the CTIMER correspond to the time it took to the RTC Seconds Timer to count one second, we can extrapolate the obtained ppm value as a difference in the 32 kHz clock source from the ideal 32 kHz. To prevent from any application or task servicing latency, the algorithm makes use of the DMA to automatically capture the CTIMER Counter value when the SEC_INT flag is set. The program flow is described in the diagram below. As a way of demonstrating this algorithm, two APIs were implemented to calculate the ppm value and apply the compensation to the system. Both APIs are included in the file fsl_osc_32k_cal .c and .h files. OSC_32K_CAL_GetPpm (osc_32k_cal_callback_t pCallbackFnc): Initializes the required timers and DMA and starts with the CTIMER capture. A callback is passed so it can be executed once the ppm calculation sequence completes. OSC_32_CAL_ApplyPpm (int32_t ppmMeasurement): Uses the previously calculated ppm passed as an input parameter to compensate the RTC and the BLE timer used during sleep mode. OSC_32K_CAL_GetPpm is called every time the ppm value of the 32 kHz source clock needs to be calculated. It takes around one second to complete (depending on how off the 32 kHz source clock is from the ideal frequency) and the application cannot enter into low power state during this time. The registered callback function is executed once the calculation is complete. The ppm calculation is performed into the DMA callback. It consists of obtaining the CTIMER counter difference and use it as f 1 in the formula shown before. This API programs the necessary values in the RTCàCAL register and the BLE Sleep timer registers to compensate for the differences in the 32 kHz source clock. Finally, the user must account for all those other APIs that make use of the 32 kHz clock frequency and update the values accordingly. The MCU in the KW40/30Z has various available very low power modes. In these power modes, the chip goes to sleep to save power, and it is not usable during this time (it can however receive different kinds of interruptions that could wake it up). The very low power modes supported by the microcontroller are: The KW40Z connectivity software stack has 6 predetermined deep sleep modes. These deep sleep modes have different configurations for the microcontroller low power mode, the BLE Link Layer state and in which ways the device can be awaken. These predetermined DSM (Deep Sleep Modes) are: * VLLS0 if DCDC is bypassed. VLLS1 with either Buck or Boost. ** Available in Buck mode only. Having said that, if you want the lowest possible consumption by the MCU, while also being able to wake up your application automatically with a timer (achieved with VLSS1), there is no DSM available. You can, however, create your own Deep Sleep Mode with low power timers enabled. Please note that VLSS1 has the lowest possible consumption when using a DCDC converter. When in bypass mode, the lowest possible consumption is achieved with VLSS0. To create your Deep Sleep Mode, you should start with the function that will actually handle the board going into deep sleep. This should be done in the PWR.c file, along with the rest of the DSM handler functions. This function is quite similar to the ones already made for the other deep sleep modes. Hello All, I designed a ultra low low cost evaluation board (ULC-Zigbee) based in Kinetis wireless MCUs, take a look at the attached PDF for the brief description.  I was able to build three of them at ~$10USD each. The ULC-Zigbee is covered under the GNU General Public License. The required files to build the board are attached, it measures 30 x 50mm. My partner AngelC   wrote a sample code. The software basically communicates wirelessly the ULC-Zigbee board with a USB-KW24D512. An FXOS8700 is externally connected through the prototype board connector and the magnetic and acceleration values are then wirelessly transmitted to the USB stick, then the values can be printed in a HyperTerminal. Commissioner Authentication server for new Thread devices and the authorizer for providing the network credentials they require to join the network. A device capable of being elected as a Commissioner is called a Commissioner Candidate. Devices without Thread interfaces may perform this role, but those that have them may combine this role with all other roles except the Joiner. This device may be, for example, a cell phone or a server in the cloud, and typically provides the interface by which a human administrator manages joining a new device to the Thread Network. Commissioner Candidate A device that is capable of becoming the Commissioner, and either intends or is currently petitioning the Leader to become the Commissioner, but has not yet been formally assigned the role of Commissioner. Commissioner Credential A human-scaled passphrase for use in authenticating that a device may petition to become the commissioner of the network. This credential can be thought of as the network administrator password for a Thread Network. The first device in a network, typically the initial Leader, MUST be out-of-band commissioned to inject the correct user generated Commissioning Credential into the Thread Network, or provide a known default Commissioning Credential to be changed later. Joiner A device to be added by a human administrator to a commissioned Thread Network. This role requires a Thread interface to perform and cannot be combined with another role in one device. The Joiner does not have network credentials. Joiner Router An existing Thread router or REED (Router-Eligible End Device) on the secure Thread Network that is one radio hop away from the Joiner. The Joiner Router requires a Thread interface to operate, and may be combined in any device with other roles except the Joiner role. This guide describes the hardware for the KW38 minimum BoM development board. The KW38 Minimum BoM development board is configurable, low-power, and cost-effective evaluation and development board for application prototyping and demonstration of the KW39A/38A/37A/39Z/38Z family of devices. The KW38 is an ultra-low-power, highly integrated single-chip device that enables Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) or Generic FSK (at 250, 500 and 1000 kbps) for portable, extremely low-power embedded systems. The KW38 integrates a radio transceiver operating in the 2.36 GHz to 2.48 GHz range supporting a range of GFSK, an ARM Cortex-M0+ CPU, up to 512 KB Flash and up to 64 KB SRAM, Bluetooth LE Link Layer hardware and peripherals optimized to meet the requirements of the target applications. MKW38 device is also available on the FRDM-KW38 Freedom Development Board. When having several ZigBee Networks in the same area, and therefore several potential parents, it may become necessary to join one of them and discard the rest. While having a mechanism to only accept joining devices when desired is the best method (like using a button to trigger the joining), it might not always be possible since the parent nodes could be commercial devices or another vendor’s product without this feature. Below are some mechanisms that could be used for this purpose. In general, when searching for suitable parents, the process is as follows: ZDO of device to join sends a MAC scan request. The MAC layer starts scan. For every beacon it receives, it sends a beacon notify indication that is processed in ParseBeaconNotifincaiton() function from AppStackImpl.c The ParseBeaconNotifincaiton() function will add the relevant information in the discovery table and for this it needs a free entry, so it calls GetFreeEntryInDiscoveryTable() function with reuse parameter as FALSE. If the table is full, it will call GetFreeEntryInDiscoveryTable() with reuse set to TRUE to literally re-use low priority entries. When the MAC scan has finished, it will send a MAC scan confirm. When this reaches ZDO, the SearchForSuitableParent() function is called. At this point, there are several approaches that could be used: Use a specific Extended PAN ID to search only for a specific parent node Use a specific PAN ID to prioritize the network’s ID Search in a specific Channel where network is supposed to be operating in All these parameters are configurable in ApplicationConf.h file of the project’s Configure Folder and used in SearchForSuitableParent() function to filter Discovery table entries. Nevertheless, those solutions are not always the best for all applications since it may require hard-coding the network’s parameters. Fortunately, BeeStack leaves all this open for any modification in case it is necessary. In brief, if the discovery table gets full with suitable parents that you DO NOT want to use, you should update the "if(reuse)" statement of the GetFreeEntryInDiscoveryTable() function to replace an entry. In other words, if you think that the desired parent is not present in the discovery table (due to its size limitation or other reason), you should update the GetFreeEntryInDiscoveryTable() function to make sure discovery table contains only devices that are of interest to your node. Please note that the criteria used to select the desired parents is totally application specific. As mentioned, it is always best having a way to trigger the joining such as a button so the rest of parents have permit join set to FALSE and therefore join only to the desired parent without having to implement custom code. Anyway, you may select the solution that meets your application’s requirements the most.

1 Introduction Two development boards transmit control information through ble. One development board connects to paj7620 and provides gesture information through IIC bus. The other development board uses ble and USB HID. We use IAR as development enviroment.The example we use is temperature_sensor, and temperature_ colloctor. The pins used by IIC are PA6 and PA7 Simply encapsulate the IIC reading and writing code in the code to create i2c_ operation.c and i2c_ operation.h.        My customer asks if QN9080 can be tested with MT887x. We co-work with Anritsu Taiwan to integrate QN9080 and MT887x to perform 1M bps, 2M bps and Frame error rate test. This document will address the QN9080 setup and MT887x connection setup. We show the 1M bps, 2M bps and frame error rate results. The Anritsu equipment is applied to MT8870, MT8872 model name.        If you would like to perform the same test environment. You may contact Anritsu to get the latest "Auto-test tool " released by Anritsu and follow their SOP document to install "Auto-test tool" into PC to perform this RF validation test.

As mentioned in this other post, its important to have the correct trim on the external XTAL. However, once you have found the required trim to properly adjust the frequency, it is not very practical to manually adjust it in every device. So here is where changing the default XTAL trim comes in handy. KW41Z With the KW41 Connecitivity Software 1.0.2, it is a pretty straightforward process. In the hardware_init.c file, there is a global variable mXtalTrimDefault. To change the default XTAL trim, simply change the value of this variable. Remember it is an 8 bit register, so the maximum value would be 0xFF. KW40Z With the KW40, it is a similar process; however, it is not implemented by default on the KW40 Connectivity Software 1.0.1, so it should be implemented manually, following these steps: Create a global variable in hardware_init.c to store the default XTAL trim, similar to the KW41:  /* Default XTAL trim value */ static const uint8_t mXtalTrimDefault = 0xBE;‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ Overwrite the default XTAL trim in the hardware_init() function, adding these lines after NV_ReadHWParameters(&gHardwareParameters):    if(0xFFFFFFFF == gHardwareParameters.xtalTrim)   {       gHardwareParameters.xtalTrim = mXtalTrimDefault;   }‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ Add this define to allow XTAL trimming in the app_preinclude.h file:  /* Allows XTAL trimming */ #define gXcvrXtalTrimEnabled_d  1‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ Once you have found the appropriate XTAL trim value, simply change it in the global variable declared in step 1.

This application note describes the usage of the DC-DC Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) converter for the MKW39A/38A/37A/38Z/37Z families. This document covers operating voltages, types of circuit operation, hardware design guidelines, software configuration, and power capabilities. It's a complementary document from the AN5025. The DC-DC converter for MKW3x is a dual output converter that supports two operating modes: Bypass and Buck. In Bypass mode, the DC-DC converter is disabled and the supply pins of the microcontroller must be supplied externally. In Buck mode, the DC-DC converter is enabled and requires a DC supply in the range of 1.8 V to 4.2 V (during startup the minimum required is 2.1 V).

The homologation requirements in China (MIIT [2002]353) obviously are planned (end of December 2022) to be sharpened (MIIT publication from 2021-01-27: “Notice on Matters Related to Radio Management in the 2400MHz, 5100MHz and 5800MHz Bands”).   A modification register is need on the KW38 and KW36 to pass the new Chinese  requirement with acceptable margin: PA_RAMP_SEL value must be set to 0x02h (2us) instead of 0x01h (1us default value) Modification SW: XCVR_TX_DIG_PA_CTRL_PA_RAMP_SEL(2) in the nxp_xcvr_common_config.c All the details are in the attached file.   Note: This SW modification is for China country only.

If the application running in the KW41Z does not operate in low power mode, the device could work without the 32 kHz oscillator. However, for it to work correctly, the clock configuration must be changed. Figure 1.  KW41Z clock distribution By default, the software stack running on the KW41Z selects a clock source that requires the 32 kHz oscillator. However, if the 32 kHz oscillator is not available, the clock configuration must be changed. Fortunately, the option to change it is already implemented, it is only required to change the clock configuration to the desired one. To do this, change the value for the CLOCK_INIT_CONFIG macro located in the app_preinclude.h file. /* Define Clock Configuration */ #define CLOCK_INIT_CONFIG           CLOCK_RUN_32‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ In the selected mode in this example, CLOCK_RUN_32, the selected clock mode is BLPE (Bypassed Low Power External). In this mode, the FLL is bypassed entirely, and clock is derived from the external RF oscillator, in this case, the 32 MHz external clock. These macros are the default available options to change the clock configuration, they are located in the board.h file. This patch fixes some minor issues with the Connectivity Software v1.0.2 when working with the Kinetis BLE Toolbox application for smartphones. Following issues are fixed. BLE OTAP Application: Fixes application failing to download the new image when the previous image upload has been interrupted due a disconnection. BLE Wireless UART: Fixes MTU exchange issue causing some characters not bein shown in the smartphone application in iOS and Android. Hybrid BLE + Thread console: Fixes MTU exchange issue causing some characters not bein shown in the smartphone application console in iOS and Android. Make sure the Connectivity Software version 1.0.2 is installed in your computer before proceeding to install this application.

Generality on the Oscillation Margin Outline It is a margin to the oscillation stop and the most important item in the oscillation circuit. This margin is indicated by ratio based on the resistance of crystal, and it shows how amplification oscillation capability the circuit has. The oscillation circuit can theoretically operate if the oscillation margin is 1 or more. However, if oscillation margin is close to 1, the risk of operation failure will increase on module due to a too long oscillation start up time and so on. Such problems will be able to be solved by a larger oscillation margin. It is recommended to keep 3 times or more as oscillation margin during the startup of the oscillation. Factor of 10 is commonly requested for Automotive at startup and steady state. 5 is enough for IoT market. However, some providers accept to have 3 times as oscillation margin for steady state. Here below is an oscillation example to explain better the phenomenon: At start up, the configuration is set internally by the hardware in order to be sure to start the oscillation, the load capacitor is 0pF. After this time, it is the steady state and the load capacitor from the internal capabank is taken into account.   If load capacitor is not set correctly with the right oscillator gain, the oscillation will not be maintained after the start up.   The oscillator gain value will also depend on the resisting path on the crystal track.  A good way to evaluate it is to add a resistor on the crystal path and try to launch the oscillation. In the SDK, the gain and the load capacitor can set directly in the application code. Calculation The oscillation margin is able to be calculated as follows: The oscillation margin calculation is based on the motional resistor Rm by formula below : ESR: Crystal Equivalent Series Resistance C0: Shunt Capacitance Rm1: Motional resistor Cm1: Motional Capacitance Lm1: Motional Inductance fosc: oscillation frequency, measured with Rs_Max mounted fr: resonance frequency of the Rm1Lm1Cm1 of the crystal from (1) :    Oscillation margin is:                     Example: for the EVK board’s 32kHz crystal (NX2012SE) ESR    80000,0 Ω Rm1    79978,2 Ω Lm1    3900 H Cm1   6,00E-15 F C0      1,70E-12 F CL      1,25E-08 F fr        32901,2 Hz fosc    32771 Hz Series Resistor Rsmax        7,50E+05 Ω Oscillation Margin   10,3   Measurement Requirements for measurement PCB (for the test, it is recommended to add a series resistor on the EXTAL32k trace) Crystal unit (with equivalent circuit constants data) Resistors (SMD) Measurement equipment (Oscilloscope, Frequency counter or others capable to observe oscillation) Add a resistor to the resonator in serial and check if the oscillation circuit works or not.   If the oscillation is confirmed by 2), change the resistor to larger. If there is no oscillation, change the resistor to smaller. Find out the maximum resistor (=Rs_max) which is the resistor just before the oscillation stops. Measure the oscillating frequency with Rs_max. Calculate the oscillation margin based on the Rs_max.   Notes The Oscillation margin is affected not only by crystal characteristics but also parts that compose the oscillation circuit (MCU, capacitor and resistor). Therefore, it is recommended to check the oscillation margin after the MCU functionality is checked on your module. The series resistor is only for evaluation. Please do not use this resistor in actual usage. It is recommended to check the functionality of your module also. It is possible that the module does not work correctly due to a frequency shift on oscillation circuit and so on. A test jig and socket could be used in measurement but stray of them will give influence for oscillation margin.   KW47/MCX W72 product oscillation margin overview 32MHz crystal NXP recommends to use the quartz NDK NX1612SA 32MHz (EXS00A-CS15781) to be compliant with the +/-50ppm required in Bluetooth LE. Using the current SDK, NXP guarantees an oscillation margin of 10 for startup and steady state commonly used by Automotive customers. Higher oscillation margin can be reached by using higher ISEL and CDAC parameters with some drawback respectively on the power consumption and the clock accuracy. ( the load capacitance bank (CDAC) and the oscillator amplifier current (ISEL)) NDK recommended / target values for oscillation margin is informed case by case. On a general basis, the requested oscillation margin has to be between the recommended value and 3 times this value. "NDK quartz provider (FR) explains this oscillation margin specification is only mandatory at the start-up phase, not at the steady state. Starting the oscillation is the phase that needs more energy. That's why the gain of the oscillator gain is at the maximum value which means not optimal consumption. When the oscillation stability is reached, the gain could be reduced to save power. The oscillation will not be affected.  Keep in mind a quartz oscillates by mechanical effect. So, when the oscillation is starting you need the highest energy to emulate it. By its own inertial, you need less energy to maintain the mechanical oscillation. NDK provides a good picture of this. Starting up a crystal into oscillation is like a train what you would like to start moving. At the beginning the train is stopped and you need a lot of energy to start running. When the train is running at its nominal speed, you need less effort to maintain that movement and a very big effort to stop it completely."   Example: for the oscillation margin 10 (Series Resistor Rs_max = 560 Ω) The CDAC/ISEL area where the oscillation starts and propagates in the internal blocks is defined (green color raws) in the table below. The frequency accuracy is indicated for some of them:     32kHz crystal NXP recommends to use the quartz NDK NX2012SE (EXS00A-MU01517) or NDK NX2012SA (EXS00A-MU00801) to be compliant with the +/-500ppm required in Bluetooth LE. using the current SDK, the oscillation margin with this quartz is 10 with some limitation on the Crystal load capacitance selection (Cap_Sel) and the Oscillator coarse gain amplifier (ESR_Range) values, with some drawback respectively on the power consumption and the clock accuracy. For an oscillation margin at 10 for instance, the Capacitor value from the databank (Cap_Sel) is limited (green area) as shown in the graph below:   Example: for an oscillation margin at 6.3, if the load cap is set at 12pF and the ESR_Range to 3, the 32kHz frequency accuracy will be around -23ppm. From this point, the oscillation margin can be enlarged to 10.3 by decreasing the load cap to 6pF but the accuracy will be degraded (110ppm).   For an Oscillation margin at 10, the graph below is showing the ESR_Range versus the load cap. The possible load cap variation range (in green) is larger when the ESR_Range increases:   Example: at oscillation margin 10.3, the clock accuracy can be improved from 111ppm to 21ppm by setting the ESR_range 2 to an ESR_Range 3 but the current consumption will be increased to 169.5nA. Another important point is that for a given ESR_Range value, getting higher the load cap is much more increasing the current than in the example above.   Remark: Under a high oscillation margin condition, the crystal voltage will be smaller.   Other possible ways to improve the oscillation margin exist: - Use external capacitor instead of internal capacitor banks. Oscillation margin goes up to 10. - Use the internal 32kFRO is supported for BLE (target:+/-500ppm)
