Just bringing two NFC-enabled devices close together is all it takes to create a connection. Accessories and consumables can be identified and authenticated without any user interaction. And commissioning an IoT node into a wireless network has never been as easy as it is now with NFC.

At Cog Systems, our sole objective is to both build and enable the world’s most secure connected devices. We provide the right foundations for you to build products that provide inherent security, performance, enable reuse, and flexibility needed to support next gen apps while also reducing build cost. We'll look at our system’s toolkit known as D4 Secure SDK. D4 provides key capabilities such as a type-1 hypervisor, various OS, RTOS support, secure boot frameworks, virtual drivers, and packages components such as VPN and secure storage so that you can quickly enhance or build new secure connected device products. Apply this toolkit to an NXP i.MX 6 applications processor based platform for constructing an auto domain/gateway controller and an infotainment system that combines multiple OS and real-time elements with a strong security posture.

NXP’s latest and most powerful Microprocessor requires the latest and fastest memories to keep it running efficiently. During this session, we will discuss the new memories supported on the new i.MX 8 processor family. For DRAM, this will include DDR4 and Low Power DDR4. For non-volatile memory this will include Octal SPI NOR (XccelaTM Flash) which offers up to 400MB/s as well as the latest eMMC 5.X devices that also support high speeds. These devices are offered with Commercial, Industrial or Automotive temperature and quality ratings. I will include a section on packaging technologies that can provide designers with innovative ways to reduce size. These include Package on Package and Multi-Chip Packages. This session will provide designers with the tools necessary to create state-of-the-art i.MX 8 systems. Micron will be giving away 2-1/2” 120GB SSDs to the first 50 attendees of this session.

This presentation will look at the lessons learned from vehicle hacks and introduce a whole vehicle multi-layered approach to automotive security. In 2015, automotive security was rarely far from the headlines of technical and public media, with a number of very public hacks of some major vehicle brands. The result was a renewed focus on vehicle security. There will be an introduction to the NXP portfolio of automotive products from microcontrollers, secure transceivers and secure elements and how they all fit together to offer a complete security solution for connected vehicles today and tomorrow.
