NXP has released the newest versions of MCUXpresso SDK, IDE, Configuration Tools, and Secure Provisioning Tool. In addition to new product support, you will find these updates and enhanced features in the new releases.

The internal clock frequency of Kinetis chips varies due to manufacturing tolerances. A trim value is programmed into the chips to compensate for this variance and make the slow bus frequency uniform between chips.

For some inexplicable reason, this trim value is not active during debug mode. This makes developing serial and CAN applications very difficult, as the baud rates which are set are not the baud rates which are achieved. To make matters worse, if I understand the documentation correctly, the baud rate in debug mode is different from the baud rate in normal mode.

The purpose of this Blog is to assist new users of the AppWizard to create and run their first project. The AppWizard is a tool for creating complete and ready-to-use emWin applications. The tool makes it very easy to build an application, manage resources and even define the application’s behavior.

Managing resources of an application is also made incredibly easy since the user simply has to add their resources to the project. All of the rest is done by the AppWizard, this means the user doesn’t have to fiddle around with dozens of resource files anymore.

LPCScrypt v2.1.1 | NXP  is now available. This release incorporates the latest versions of LPC-Link2 firmware for both CMSIS-DAP and also SEGGER J-Link.

LPCScrypt is a command-line based, fast flash (internal and QSPI), EEPROM, OTP and security programming tool for LPC1800 and LPC4300 series microcontrollers. It is also the primary delivery mechanism for supplying and programming CMSIS-DAP firmware images for LPC-Link2 and LPCXpresso Boards.

NXP's MCUXpresso Software and Tools has expanded to include a new Secure Provisioning Tool, support for integrated third software solutions and has major improvements in the user experience for software selection. Today I conclude my countdown of top reasons to use i.MX RT1010, and I wanted to end the blog series in the same way that it began – by talking about how to get started. It is has been  2 weeks since my first post, so hopefully by now you have found the $10.10 in your couch cushion to order your i.MX RT1010 EVK. Maybe you even already have the EVK on your desk and followed the instructions on the Getting Started webpage which leads you to download the software and tools. But what is MCUXpresso and how much does it cost?

Hello, recently I have done Periph Blinky e.g. from LPCOpen library on MCUxpresso. I am using LPC1769 chip and I have toggled GPIO pin. In my case I have used buzzer pin i.e. Port 3 & Pin 25. Instead of using Timer delay I created a delay function i.e. void delay_ms(unsigned int ms). Here I am attaching the systick.c file. Hope it helps!!  

Hello everyone, I am working on MCUxpresso and using LPC1769 controller. I am done with Led blinking in MCUxpresso. I have used flash magic to flash the hex file in controller using usb to ttl. But I faced a hex file issue while doing this project. So I thought I should share this with everyone who are facing the same issue. After compiling only .axf was getting created. For creating .hex file ,you need to do following settings

Amazon Web Services has released a preconfigured FreeRTOS example for Armv8-M and the NXP LPCXpresso55S69 board. With the addition of board- and device-specific examples, it is even easier to start and use the Arm® TrustZone® features combined with MPU (Memory Protection Unit) on the NXP LPC55xx MCU.

I really love tiny and bread board friendly boards, especially if they are very affordable and can be use with Eclipse based tools. So I was excited to see the NXP LPC845-BRK board to be available at Mouser, so I ended up ordering multiple boards right away. Why multiple? Because they only cost CHF 5.95 (around $6)!
