The latest and smallest addition to the NXP SCM portfolio, SCM-i.MX 6SoloX, plays a promotional video on repeat on an evaluation board. The SCM-i.MX 6SoloX integrates NXP i.MX 6SoloX applications processor, NXP PF0100 power management, and system passive components (de-coupling capacitors and resistors). Flying glasses demonstrator: Dual PMSM demo uses Qorivva MPC574xP and features spinning glasses mounted on the rotor of a first motor, while the second motor is equipped with a blade, "cutting" the glasses. Four glasses are mounted on the shaft of one motor while it is spinning. Introduction The FRWY LS1046A comes with the mikroBUS connector that enables the capability to connect different peripheral depending on the application's requirements. The mikroBUS intends to be used for prototyping purposes that facilitate the interconnection of several peripherals. The PN7120 I2C connection delivers a secure and trustworthy connection between both NXP products. Overview The following demo belongs to examples of different usages of the LS1046A MPU, these demonstrations will soon be part of the LSDK. This document showcase the NFC capability to provide an additional layer of security to any access area. NFC access points authorize people with a registered RFID tag to grant access to a particular area. In case the RFID tag isn’t registered or authorized, the access is restricted. The system should alert the denied access to a supervisor in order to take action. The video below shows two NFC applications that can be implemented in the LS1046A, by connecting the Mikroe-2395 module based on the NXP PN7120. This demonstration allows registering new users by entering sensitive data into a local database. The second application validates an NFC tag by comparing the tag ID, with the ones previously registered in the database. The user can access the applications using the LAN with another device like a tablet, this allows the database to be in a non-easy access location for security purposes. Demo Kinetis V series iIs supported broadly with 3 main hardware development platforms that target different customer and application needs.   Features: Freedom Platform: Freedom solutions typically target cost sensitive customers with a lower level of integration and flexibility included in the system, a low voltage solution operating at less than 50V.   Customers who are highly cost sensitive can start development with just the FRDM board, but for those customer who want to get the motor turning quickly we provide all the system components necessary to create a complete reference design that will get the motor running out of the box.   Kinetis Motor Suite supports Sinusoidal control technique (also known as FOC, field oriented control) with the FRDM-MC-LVPMSM, which can also be operated with and without a sensor to improve position control accuracy or startup capability. FRDM-MC-LVPMSM Board spec: 24V, 5Amp, 120W   The customer should purchase MCU FRDM card along with the FRDM-MC-LVPMSM to build their reference design. The motor must be purchased separately under FRDM-MC-LVMTR part number , or they can use their own motor if it meets the Motor Driver card power specification. FRDM-MC-LVMTR spec: 4000RPM, 24V, 40W   Tower Platform: The Tower Platform allows customers to very quickly turn their application motor straight out the box, and target customers who need more connectivity in their system, and access to more of the MCU pins.   To build the system the customer should purchase the appropriate TWR MCU card, the TWR-ELEV to connect to the TWR-MC-LV3PH driver card. Overview Remote virtual smartphones promise the same benefits as remote computer desktops and cloud-based gaming: low-cost client hardware, sandboxed user environments, and persistent user state. The way they work is that the physical smartphone runs only thin-client software and the smartphone application runs remotely on a server. To be economical, this server hosts multiple of these virtual smartphones, taking advantage of hardware virtualization support built into its processor. Slotted into the machine, an add-on GPU provides high-performance graphics. To reduce latency for real-time gameplay, the server is best located near the end-user in the edge of the mobile network. For virtual smartphones to be compatible with physical smartphones, Arm compatibility is required. At the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show, NXP demonstrated the Layerscape LX2160A processor hosting Redfinger’s cloud-based Android emulator and virtual smartphone. NXP’s processor integrates 16 CPU cores, enabling it to host 16 or more virtual smartphones. Games and other software execute with the same look and feel as if they were running locally on a smartphone. Like other Layerscape processors, the LX2160A delivers excellent performance per watt and is designed to work in high-temperature environments, such as being packed densely in a rack in a data center or deployed remotely at an edge-computing site.
