undefined LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler i am using s32k344. i add intctrl_ip, lpuart_uart, suil2_port drivers. and i set lpuart6 interrupt in intctrl_ip.  hander name is LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler. after generate code, i build source code.  and i got a error undefined LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler.  although i found LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler in Lpuart_Uart_Ip_Irq.c it is does not activated Lpuart_Uart_Ip_Irq function.  so do i have to make LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler external function? or can i know method LPUART_UART_IP_6_IRQHandler is being activated? thank. S32K344 Flash operation and interrupt Hello,I have question about When DFlash/PFlash is doing the write or erase operation,all interrupts must be disabled for awhile? For example,disable all interrupts before C40_Ip_MainInterfaceSectorErase() or C40_Ip_MainInterfaceWrite(),then enable all interrupts when operation is done. Is there have any problem if the all interrupt is not disabled? i.mx 93 TPM timer configuration I'm working with a SoM based on the i.mx 9352. I'm looking for a way on how to create a chain of TPM timers in the firmware for the Cortex-M core. In my case, I use TPM6_EXTCLK pin for receiving external clock source from a crystal and then it is used for generating signals on TMP6_CH1, TMP6_CH2 and TMP6_CH3. I want to use TMP6_CH0 as an external source for the TMP5. Is it possible to use an output of the TMP6_CH0 as a an external clock source for TMP5_EXTCLK? Or is this only possible by physically connecting the TMP6_CH0 and TMP5_EXTCLK pins? Maybe it is possible by using an external trigger source? It is mentioned in the RM for i.mx 93 that I should see the chip-specific TPM information for available external trigger options, but I don't know where to find this information - is it an extra document about i.mx 9352? I used it to understand how I can clock my TIM6 by an external source, and it is a kind of working now. My current issue is that I don't know is it possible to clock TIM5 with an output channel of TIM6 (e.g. TIM6_CH0). To illustrate better what I'm trying to build I've made this picture based on your diagram: I see that TPM clock can be sourced either by an external clock source (case for TIM6) or by an external trigger source. And I thought that the external trigger source for TIM5 can be an output of the TIM6_CH0. But for now I see only one way how to do that - physically connect TIM6_CH0 pin to the TIM5_EXTCLK pin. Is there are some internal connections inside the MCU, which I can use instead of the physical connection? So basically I want to have TIM5 and TIM6 been synchronized, and use extra TIM5's channels for sending events based on the TIM6_CH0 output. Re: i.mx 93 TPM timer configuration Hello @Karr  Look the below Block diagram: In chapter 67.3.10.1 Counter Clock mode of reference manual is mentioned: SC[CMOD] either disables the TPM counter or enables one of the three possible clock sources for the TPM counter. After any reset, SC[CMOD] becomes 0, which disables the TPM counter. You can configure SC[CMOD] for one of the following counter clock sources: • Asynchronous counter clock • External clock input pin • External trigger source You can read or write to SC[CMOD] at any time. Disabling the TPM counter by writing 0 to SC[CMOD] does not affect the TPM counter value or other registers, but the TPM counter clock domain must acknowledge this disabling action before SC[CMOD] becomes 0. The external clock input and external trigger source pass through a synchronizer. The TPM counter clock clocks this synchronizer to ensure that counter transitions are properly aligned to counter clock transitions. Therefore, to meet Nyquist criteria, and also considering jitter, the frequency of the external clock source must be less than half of the counter clock frequency. Also, look the TRGSEL and TRGSRC bits on CONF register (67.7.1.16 Configuration (CONF)). I hope this information can helps to achieve your application. Best regards, --... ...-- Salas.

Only booting from the SD card is supported for OP-TEE. • uTee-*: Self-extracting image containing the OP-TEE binary. I want to know how to generate the u-boot-imx*_sd_optee.imx image,and which uboot config file I can use. Issues with meta-nxp-security-reference-design Hello, I just started to work on adding secure boot to my project (irst time and lot of reading). In the Linux User Guide, IMXLUG_6.6.23_2.0.0, from June 28 2024, section 10.9.1.3 Yocto setup for secure boot build, you cannot follow the steps due to a lacking manifest. Also, when I manually added the layer, the nxp-cst-signer.bb  is pointing towards CST_SIGNER ?= "git://[email protected]/imxs/cst-signer.git;protocol=ssh"  which I assume is a place where I should not have access. I guess it might be ok to point it towards https://github.com/nxp-imx-support/nxp-cst-signer.git instead? Is there a way to report such things, or is the forum the place to go? S32K144 SRAM address configuration Hi NXP team, We are currently using S32K144 and have encountered a problem. Could you please help us solve it? Thanks! From S32K1xx_Memory_Map.xlsx of the RM, the start address of SRAM_U is 0x2000_0000: Could m_data_2‘s ORIGIN in the link file S32K144_64_flash.ld of S32K144 be set arbitrarily? For example, can it be changed to be less than 0x2000_0000 as following? BTW, we made an initial attempt(change m_data_2‘s ORIGIN to 0x1FFFE000) and confirmed that the compilation could be successfully passed in the S32DS environment, and the generated program could be smoothly downloaded to the S32K144 product board with a normal running status. What I want to tell you is that we have some considerations when designing the link file in this way, and it is allocated according to SRAM_L and SRAM_U. For s32k144, the SRAM_L  address range is :0x1FFF8000~0x1FFFFFFF the SRAM_U address range is: 0x20000000~0x20006FFF 0x1FFFE000 is in the range SRAM_L, but it is not SRAM_U.

MCUXpresso V24.12 under Ubuntu 24.04 libncursesw.so.5 not found I am getting an error when I try to debug the Open LPC example "periph_blinky" on the LPCXpresso 1769 development board # OM13085 using LinkServer.  The error says: Could not determine GDB version using command: arm-none-eabi-gdb --version arm-none-eabi-gdb: error while loading shared libraries: libncursesw.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory libncursesw.so.5 cannot be installed with apt because it is no longer available for Ubuntu 24.04. libncursesw6 is installed. Do you have any suggestions? Re: MCUXpresso V24.12 under Ubuntu 24.04 libncursesw.so.5 not found I'm not familiar with the actual implementation of libncurses and the differences between 5 & 6,  so I cannot guarantee that your workaround is completely correct. The ABIs certainly differ even though the APIs might be largely the same. Note that we released MCUXpresso IDE v25.06 recently (MCUXpresso IDE v25.06 Now Available - NXP Community) and this is shipped with newer Arm GNU Toolchain that no longer depends on the libncurses 5. Best regards, Adrian Re: MCUXpresso V24.12 under Ubuntu 24.04 libncursesw.so.5 not found After making symbolic links: libncursesw.so5->libnsursesw.so6 and libtinfo.so.5->libtinfo.so.6, the debugger worked.  The symbolic links need to be made in two places: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu, and also /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu (this is for Ubuntu 24.04). Changes in function ‘FLEXSPI_CheckAndClearError’ of from SDK2.9 to SDK2.16 for NXPRT1170 As the title says, in the SDK2.16 version of the MCU NXPRT1170 chip, compared with the SDK2.9 version, the Reset fifo processing has been deleted in the FLEXSPI_CheckAndClearError function of the fsl_flexspi.c file, but the reason for the deletion is unknown. Deleted Reset fifo processing code: base->IPTXFCR |= FLEXSPI_IPTXFCR_CLRIPTXF_MASK; base->IPRXFCR |= FLEXSPI_IPRXFCR_CLRIPRXF_MASK; The FLEXSPI_CheckAndClearError function will check whether there is an error in the FLEXSPI_WriteBlocking, FLEXSPI_ReadBlocking and other functions. If an error is found, FLEXSPI_ClearInterruptStatusFlags(base, status); will be executed. I just don't know why the Reset fifo processing was deleted in SDK2.16? But for sure, clearing the FIFOs in case of an error removes any data (succesfully) received so far. It is being reset at the beginning. I do not say it is wrong, but it may be risky (error prone) to manipulate it in the middle of loops. We can see that before call this FLEXSPI_CheckAndClearError inside write or read blocking function, at the beginning of the FLEXSPI_TransferBlocking, it will reset the FIFO, so no need to reset it during the transfer process. We now need to upgrade to NXP's latest official release, Linux 6.6.36_2.1.0. As part of this upgrade, we also need to update Buildroot and U-Boot.
