Enable kernel configuration options like CONFIG_PROFILING and CONFIG_PERF_EVENTS

Hello,

Can someone help me how I can change the kernel configurations by enabling certain of them like CONFIG_PERF_EVENTS and CONFIG_PROFILING.

Normally when I check some configurations I find, for example:

# XXXXXX is not set

or

YYYYYY=y
