[Bluebird][SE052F]Query for Android StrongBox Support Hello Experts,
The customer is bluebird, they are evaluating the EdgeLock SE052F for a PDA project requiring Android StrongBox integration. Regarding this, they has requested some questions. A. Android Keystore 2 & KeyMint HAL Support 1) Does NXP provide the official Android Keystore 2 API and KeyMint HAL API implementation specifically for the SE052F? 2) If so, can we assume that the communication protocol between the KeyMint HAL and the SE052F chip is already pre-defined and provided as a "ready-to-use" stack by NXP? 3)Please specify which Android versions (e.g., Android 12, 13, 14+) are officially supported by this solution. B. Firmware Development and Customization 1) Does the SE052F come with a pre-loaded firmware (Applet) that supports standard Key Management and cryptographic algorithms required for StrongBox? 2) Do we (the OEM/Developer) need to develop custom firmware for the SE052F, or can we utilize the NXP Plug & Trust standard firmware/applets and interfaces without additional internal firmware development? Please kindly check and let me know.

IoT secure elemets like se052f does not support Android Keystore 2 & KeyMint HAL.
however, we have ear middleware with partial keymint support , its for customers who are okay with non certified keymint/ strongbox support.
this ear middlware has partial keymint implementation.
PFA of this mw EAR. this zip file you can share with customer. inside it in readme file customer can see the details and see if it's useful for them.
Kind regards,
Parth
