K61 Mask Set Revision and JTAG ID

  1. Is there anyway to read the mask set revision of a K61 device via SW and/or JTAG?
  2. Table 61-2 of the K61 reference manual lists the fields of the JTAG ID register. The PRN and PIN fields are listed as 0 and TBD respectively. What are the current values of these fields? Do they ever get updated?

Answer to your questions, please see below:

1. There no way to read the maskset directly, however by reading the device revision numbers (REVID), we provide corresponding maskset by below Engineering Bulleting EB782:

2. The part revision number (PRN), which is a copy of the SIM_SDID[REVID], may change for a mask revision, the EB782 had list it clearly.

The part identification number (PIN) is vary depending on the Kinetis family identification SIM_SDID[FAMID] and pin count identifications SIM_SDID[PINID] fields. This had been listed in the K61 RM as below:
