Hello, on page 5247 of the i.MX93 processor reference manual, Rev. 5 dated 05/2024, it states for the ADC:
"Channel selection controls are provided to use internal or external analog multiplexers."
This seems to be the only reference to this functionality within the reference manual.
Is the functionality to drive external analog multiplexers actually supported by the i.MX93 parts or is this perhaps a carry-over from older documentation?
If this functionality is supported, could you please confirm which IO pins can be used to drive the external muxes? Additionally, is the Normal Scan mode able to iterate over the external mux positions as well?
Thank you for your feedback.
Thank you for the reference.
This appears to be documentation describing the input trigger functionality of the ADC to synchronize to an external event. I am asking about the option to output a control signal to an external analog multiplexer to enable additional ADC channels.
You may note this feature was present in prior NXP devices (MA outputs from the block labeled "control mux"): https://community.nxp.com/t5/MPC5xxx/ADC-External-Channels-Usage-in-MPC746C/m-p/665612
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,
Triggers can be muxed according to the register sent below and the values would be according to the table attached.
