i.MX6 How to support SDXC function on Yocto 3.14.28_1.0.0?

Our current seems to support SDHC, so the maximal capacity of SD is only 32GB, but per this modification, we could support SDXC (SD 3.0), the maximal capacity of SD will be 2TB.

Please see attached file.

Question 1:  We want to support SDXC function. In addition to the hardware to be modified, does the software also need to modify?

If we need to modify software, how do we modify?

Question 2: If we do not modify the hardware and modify the above mentioned software aspects, will we have any problem happen?
