USB-OTG to setup serial console (minicom)

Hi,

We have got new IMX6 board (customized based on reference design-SABRELite) which has come after assembly. Now we are trying port Uboot, Kernel and OS to this new board.

We came to know that setting up serial console is required to see and change the settings in Uboot. But unfortunately we do not have any serial port (DB9) in the board. Can we use USB (connected to my HOST PC which runs minicom) and OTG (on the board side)  to setup serial console to view boot settins. How this can be done.

Hi Srinavasa

Sabre SD for serial connection with host pc

uses FTDI  FT232RQ (uses PC USB port) iMX6_SABRE_SDB_DESIGNFILES

I am not aware of methods of usage of processor USB OTG for such purposes.

Best regards

igor
