Hi, What are the pre-requisites for using Mfgtools-Rel-1.6.2.042.?

Do we need to install any framework? The tool crashes after selecting the USB ports tab through Options->Configuration->USB Ports in a Win7 PC

I had this problem too a while ago , and it was fixed by updating the .NET framework of windows 7. Can you try updating windows 7 to the latest date?

it's a software bug in the program. In the case a USB root in the mentioned tab contains no elements, the programm dies of a null pointer dereference.

I've send a patch to Freescale last year, but i don't know in which version this fix is included. Unfortunaly i don't have this patch anymore.

As a quick solution for your problem try to use another PC.

  Perhaps the problem relates to USB3 options. The MFG  on the Web does not support USB3.

Some MFG problems relate to the general USB3 support under OS and issues may be

solved, when USB3 ports are disabled in Win 7 / 8.
