What JTAG debugger is recommended for i.MX6?
My PEEDI works well. Presents all cores as a single core so that GDB can debug an SMP application. I have config files at ecosfreescale.sourceforge.com in the files area.
We regularly use BDI3000 from Abatron.

ARM DSTREAM is also a good option.
