Hi,
I have been following AN13215 to perform a boundary-scan proof-of-concept with the specified Lauterbach devices/sw, but have a few issues.
I downloaded the iMX8ULP BSDL files, but noticed that the two files are switched. We are using the 15x15 package which supposedly corresponds to the IMX8ULP-BSDL.zip file, but the file that matches it(and the GPIOs) is actually in MCIMX8ULP-EVK9-BSDL.zip:
It makes sense that we want the EVK file as the 15x15 is on the EVK.
I then proceed with the correct file, following the steps in the application note, and get stuck when the IDCODE is incorrect:
I was however able to successfully SAMPLEall and BYPASSall:
Can the files be corrected and can we have a file with the correct IDCODE?
Please don't hesitate to ask if you need more details.
Thank you for your support!
Hello,
he IDCODE for the DAP and boundary scan are different. If you have the JTAG_MOD properly set for debug mode and if you issue an IDCODE instruction you will receive the IDCODE for DAP. The one mentioned in the BSDL file is probably for the test mode.

Hello,
What are the values of the IDCODEs for DAP vs Boundary Scan mode?
Hi, @Bio_TICFSL ,
We are using the iMX8ULP and there is no JTAG_MOD or TEST_MODE GPIO. Is there another way to change it?
Best Regards,

Hi @Bio_TICFSL ,
It has been a few days and the issue remains unresolved.
Your continued support would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, but there is no way to changing.

Hi @Bio_TICFSL ,
Is there a way to change the IDCODE on an iMX8ULP(the iMX8ULP does not have TEST_MODE or JTAG_MOD GPIOs) to boundary scan?
Best Regards,
kharding
Hi @Bio_TICFSL ,
The IDCODE is the BSDL had the incorrect version. I changed it from "0000" to "0001" and now it now passes the IDCODE check.
