[IMX8MP ISP] RAW RGB-IR sensor support

Dear Community,

I would like to know if the ISP inside IMX8MP supports demosiacing RAW RGB-IR sensors which seem to have different pattern of Color Filter Array (CFA) compared to RAW Bayer, please ?

Hi Khang,

If I remember correctly, some time ago there were some discussions on this topic and the conclusion was that "8MP ISP only support Bayer RGB".

I received confirmation. "Yes, this is a HW limitation, 8mp ISP doesn’t support RGB-IR. It can only support Bayer RGB or Monochrome."

if we correct the bayer pattern in SW can we use the ISP as memory to memory. or as i believe is it only available as camera sensor to memory. i.e. can we use memory as an interface to the ISP or is it rigidly locked to the HW.

From the Reference Manual of iMX 8M Plus, it seems that RGB-IR is not in the list of supported input formats :
