Hi, everybody.

My customer uses imx257 to ask for help because there is a problem with USB recognition during production.

Production Test Environment)

Host - Window XP Virtual Box.
   Host Tool - ADSToolkit_std.exe
Connection to board - Firmware download via USB.

Normal sample : USB Description can be used as SE Blank SENNA and NAND can be accessed normally.
Abnormal sample : USB Description appears as SP Blank SENNA and cannot be accessed to NAND.

When I saw the user guide of imx257, I saw the following in USB Description 2.
- SE/SP/NS Blank SENNA.

QUESTION)
1) I searched Datasheet and Community to find out this problem, but I don't know why USB Description is changed. Can you let me know this?
2) Even if I remove the driver and install it again, it was not solved. Is there a way to solve this?

Hello Kim,

You may have some problem with drivers for MX25 and MX27, however the MX27 run well on Windows XP, 7. You may find other MX27ADS links that may help:

Thank you for your answer.
But I couldn't find an answer to why the USB Description was changed.
I want to know why USB Description is changed from SE Blank SENNA to SP Blank SENNA.
Please answer my question.

Thanks.
