Congratulations to the 4 qualified teams during the event held at the Politecnico of Torino on 04-Feb-2014. We also had a team from the Agnelli Institute as first high school team (not competing for the qualification). Here are a few pictures taken during the event. The time log is in attachment.

The 2nd edition of the Russia Freescale Cup qualification was a great success with 12 teams in the boxes and 10 teams on the start line. As introduced in Qualification Race Information: University of Zilina, students can accommodate at the dormitory for 10,- EUR per night. What is more important - if you are IEEE Student member, your accommodation here is for free! How to become IEEE Student member? It's very simple: visit IEEE web page, follow the "Join" button and "Join as a student". You will be asked to fill in some information and finally to pay the registration fee (for 2014 it's $27.00 per year). You will receive your own personal number and this will serve as an identification during the Freescale Cup accommodation registration. Why should you join? We had participated in The Freescale Cup Worldwide Finals 2013 in HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology) and The Freescale Cup Worldwide Finals Seoul 2014 in Hanyang University. Congratulations to Haute Ecole ARC Ingénierie, ESEO Angers and ENSEEIHT Toulouse for their qualification to attend the Freescale Cup EMEA Finals. 10 teams from France and Switzerland did compete today in the 1st Freescale Cup Qualification challenge hosted by the ENSEEIHT in Toulouse (France). Only the top 4 teams get to go the next challenge level. Similar qualification events will be held across EMEA to select the best teams to attend the Freescale Cup EMEA finals that will be hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Circuits on 29-30 April. Under cloudy skies, the 1st Freescale Cup Challenge for North Africa was held today at the University of Mundiapolis (Casablanca, Morocco). Students from Tunisia and Morocco came to get their 1st taste of this global competition. With a very energy-contagious and great camaraderie, students from ENSEM Casablanca, EHTP Casablanca, Mundiapolis Casablanca, ISSAT Sousse and ENIS Sfax have been challenged with the Freescale Cup competition track. I am happy to report that team EHTP Casablanca has qualified and will join us in Germany for the EMEA Finals.

On January 16th, 2014 we have receive the visit from students of the University of Applied Sciences of Landshut (Germany). They came under snowy skies to our Munich facility to test their Freescale Cup cars in preparation for the upcoming Germany Qualification event scheduled for 18Mar14. In a matter of a couple of hours they were able to improve the performance of their vehicles and leave with new ideas about how to improve them and make them go even faster.
