CW for MCU - FLEXLM question

Hello

I installed CW for MCU ver. 11. I have a standard license for it (dongle).

Looking at the license information from the CW IDE, I saw a line:

FLEXLM eval period : 15 days.

Does it means that something is wrong in my license installation?

Please advise.

Hi Benny,

If you are using a nodelock license you don't need to use the dongle please take the license and drop it on the C drive on the correct location as seen below:

  • Classic CodeWarrior IDE, save the license.dat file in the directory where you installed the software (usually C:\Program Files\NXP\Code Warrior for XYZ\).
  • Eclipse IDE, save the license.dat file in the directory where you installed the software (usually C:\Program Files\NXP\CW XYZ v10.x\XZY\license.dat).

Hi Jorge,

I do not understand. The dongle has been given to me with the SW from freescale, and in the license file I have a line:

HOSTID=FLEXID=8-5B931CCE ISSUER="Freescale Semiconductor"

so how can I use the license without the FLEXLM?

Benny

Dongle device type supported by nxp are FlexID 9 models, can you review 8-5B931CCE is ok.

I recommend to use a disk serial ID or Ethernet MAC first to check if the app is seeing the license file.
