S32 Design Studio supports S32K388 debugging with IAR I-jet?

Hi,

We are trying to debug S32K388 application project using IAR I-jet in S32 Design Studio.

We cannot see IAR Debugging Interface in the debugger list (see attached). Only GDB PEMicro and Segger are shown.

When making other MCU like S32K324, we can see IAR Debugging Interface in the debugger list.

Is there any method to use IAR I-jet debugger for S32K388 application project?

There is a guide to installing the IAR embed Workbench plug-in manager in the below thread. Please follow to install the IAR toolchain to S32DS:

Also, check all the compiler options, which are suggested in Chapter 2.7 (Compiler Options) of the RTD's Release Note.

Yes, we have already added IAR Embedded Work Bench for eclipse. With this plug in, we can see IAR debugger for almost all S32K3xx except for S32K388. I attached capture screen for 324 project which shows IAR debugger. My doubt is either IAR embedded wrok bench or S32 design studio doesn't support S32k388. Can you confirm this? Or is there any mitigation idea?

The release of the S32K388 devices has Code Drop quality, so in terms of testing is not fully tested and contains a partial feature set. 

According to the provided information, the S32K388 at this moment was just tested with the following compiler version:

• Wind River Diab Compiler DIAB 7.0.4
• NXP GCC 10.2.0 20200723

So, at this moment, we see there is no official IAR support for this device.
