Hello,
Do I need to install this new version ?
Doesn't it has patches , so that When I run CHeck for Updates in s32 v1.2 , I get the latest version as well ?
Thanks
Vrushali
Hello,
The latest version release 2017.R1 includes the new version of Eclipse IDE (neon) - it is not possible to update it via eclipse updater.
Therefore there is no a patch to v1.2 available.
Anyway you can have multiple installations of S32DS installed on your computer - they will work simultaneously.
Hope it helps,
Stan
GCC source code? For a company so concerned with licensing and letting lawyers dictate what we are allowed to see (even when the community could help) you have a habit of glossing over the important bits of other licenses.https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-violation.en.html" title="https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-violatio...
Why open yourself up to litigation over something so trivial? Violations of the GNU Licenses- GNU Project - Free Software Foundation
GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
Our General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you have the freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for them if you wish), that you receive source code or can get it if you want it, that you can change the software or use pieces of it in new free programs, and that you know you can do these things.
For example, if you distribute copies of such a program, whether gratis or for a fee, you must pass on to the recipients the same freedoms that you received. You must make sure that they, too, receive or can get the source code. And you must show them these terms so they know their rights.
1. Source Code.
The “Corresponding Source” for a work in object code form means all the source code needed to generate, install, and (for an executable work) run the object code and to modify the work, including scripts to control those activities. However, it does not include the work's System Libraries, or general-purpose tools or generally available free programs which are used unmodified in performing those activities but which are not part of the work. For example, Corresponding Source includes interface definition files associated with source files for the work, and the source code for shared libraries and dynamically linked subprograms that the work is specifically designed to require, such as by intimate data communication or control flow between those subprograms and other parts of the work.

Hello Jed,
Thanks for pointing us to this issue.
I'd like to ensure you we do respect our GNU licensing obligations seriously.
The delay between release the binary and GCC source package wasn't intended and does not mean we are trying to bypass these obligations in any sense.
This was caused purely by a human factor.
Therefore I've escalated the issue to appropriate team to prevent this kind of issues in a future releases.
The GCC Source package is now available for download:

Thank you for your valuable comments on nxp community!
