effective RAM size on P2041

Hi everybody,

I use P2041RDB. My RTOS kernel (loaded as elf image) occupies only 120 MB of the RAM memory. How can I configure u-boot

to initialize and use only 256MB instead of available 2GB on the board.

It is not clear what is "effective RAM size". I think u-boot should initiate all 2GB even in case when it is possible to init only 256 MB from 2GB physically. It is not possible on the P2041RDB with single 2GB SODIMM.

You mean if I change RAM size in the configuration file P2041RDB.h, any changes would happen ?

Hello Eli Mintz,

I think you would like to change the memory mapping and the MMU setting in board\freescale\p1_p2_rdb_pc\Law.c and board\freescale\p1_p2_rdb_pc\Tlb.c.
