I am using MAC7116 with the external flash memory in a custom board.
The same is accessed with External Interface Module of MAC7116.
In basic , the MAC7116 micro shall be operated in either single chip mode / Expanded Mode.
I am using BDI2000 programmer.
I require the memory mapping while EIM is enabled and the procedure to configure the EIM.
Also how to decide the base address if EIM is used to access the external flash memory thru JTAG.

Hey!

Please take a look at AN2934 Using the MAC7100 EIM (External Interface Module). It will tell you how to configure the EIM as well as other information on using the EIM.

Once the external memory has been maped to an address you will be able to access it like any other memory address on the device. So you will be able to access it over JTAG.
