Product Release Announcement Automotive Microcontrollers and Processors NXP Model-Based Design Toolbox for SPT 2.0/2.5 - 2018.R1     Austin, Texas, USA September 24 th , 2018 The Automotive Microcontrollers and Processors’ Model-Based Design Tools Team at NXP Semiconductors, is pleased to announce the release of the Model-Based Design Toolbox for SPT 2.0/2.5 2018.R1. This release allows fast prototyping of algorithms that handle sampled RADAR signals directly from MATLAB environment via SPT bit-exact Simulator.   FlexNet Location: https://nxp.flexnetoperations.com/control/frse/download?element=10444327   Activation link https://nxp.flexnetoperations.com/control/frse/download?element=10444327     Technical Support NXP Model-Based Design Toolbox for SPT issues are tracked through NXP Model-Based Design Tools Community space. https://community.nxp.com/community/mbdt/mbdt-for-radar   Release Content Add support for SPT 2.5 instructions: All SPT 2.0 instructions are now supported in SPT 2.5 format New SWITCH command added to allow SPT mode change between 2.0 and 2.5 versions sptVersionOut  = switch_mex(sptVersionIn). Posible values for the sptVersionIn are: 20 for SPT 2.0 version 25 for SPT 2.5 version Any other input will trigger an error message Improved mechanism for handling the toolbox licensing checking. This feature increases the SPT instructions execution speed by 3x compared to previous release. The license is free of charge and can be acquired directly from your NXP Software Account. Integrate the bit-exact SPT Simulator 2.0.0 released on July 04, 2018   For more details, features and how to use the new functionalities, please refer to the SPT2.X Toolbox User Guide document attached.   MATLAB® Integration The NXP Model-Based Design Toolbox extends the MATLAB® experience by allowing customers to evaluate and use NXP’s S32R MCUs out-of-the-box with: NXP Support Package for S32R Installer Guide Add-on allows users to install NXP solution directly from the Mathwork’s website or directly from MATLAB IDE. The Support Package provide a step-by-step guide for installation and verification. NXP Model-Based Design Toolbox for SPT 2.0 and 2.5 2018.R1 is fully integrated with MATLAB® environment in terms of installation, documentation, help and examples;   Target Audience This release (2018.R1) is intended for: Internal NXP RADAR SDK developers for writing MATLAB models using a bit-exact SPT Simulator that can be shared with external customers as MATLAB reference designs. NXP customers that want to write their own SPT kernels for reasons like: performance, secret “sauce” algorithms, protection of SW IP, cover more scenarios or may simply wish to start with RADAR algorithm development from MATLAB environment. RADAR SDK Users for running the bit-exact MATLAB models of the SPT kernels
