Overview

The 56F8300 (56800E core) family of Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) is well suited for UPS design, combining the DSP's calculation capability with MCU controller features on a single chip.

  • Offers many dedicated peripherals, including Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) units, Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC), timers, communication peripherals (SCI, SPI, CAN), on-board Flash and RAM
  • Online Uninterruptible Power Supplies (OUPS) provides continuous power to the load during power outage or glitches caused by power source switching
  • Ideal for computers, office equipment, communication systems and medical life support
