Our original design was with the SPC5742PFK1AMLQ8 (180MHz rating) but due to lack of availability, modules were built with SPC5744PFK1AMLQ9 (200MHz)

Unfortunately, the software is running at the max frequency of the temporary micro (SPC5744PFK1AMLQ9, 200MHz).  So, today, we have production parts built up with the production intent micro, rated for 180MHz.

Our question is what are the risks involved with running the micro rated for 180MHz at a higher frequency of 200MHz?

Thanks,
Sagar

Hi,

There could be various issue starting from dumping flash lifetime, more heat, EMC, etc...

We do not guarantee micro correct operation when you violate datasheet specifications.
