PIT timer does not run during online debugging

  When I debug online, when the PIT timer is set to non-freeze mode, it can count normally, but if it is set to freeze mode, the timer never counts, even when it is running at full speed.

  What could be the cause of this?

Hi,

It's known issue in S32DS debugger affecting MPC56xx/57xx devices. It was already discussed here, for example:
