Note that RTCK (Return clock) is only used on older ARM cores (ARM7TDMI and ARM9 family) before the debug was properly decoupled from the core clock domain.

I am using a MIMXRT 1020 board I was confused on why connecting RTCK and not TCK with a minimum pin configuration allowed the JTAG connection to work. I was wondering if it was because RTCK was enabled. Thank you!
