I'm a beginner with Kinetis design Studio. I have a FRDM-KL03z board and want to use Processor expert when I develop code. But when I have setup a project with KL03z as target then i can't find it in processor expert. How can I do that?.

I can see KL02z and KL04z but not KL03z.

Best Regards,

Per

Hi

The KSDK 1.3 mainline release contain the support of the KL03. See the following link:

http://www.nxp.com/products/wireless-connectivity/2.4-ghz-wireless-solutions/ieee-802.15.4-plus-ble/...

and navigate to the Kinetis SDK 1.3 Mainline download link:

To work with KL03+processor expert, we need:

1. install KDS3.2

2. install KSDK1.3 mainline.

3. Do update from KDS IDE menu "help", "check for update".

then you will see KL03 and processor expert available. see attached video.

Have a great day,
Jennie Zhang

Hi Per,

Please goto the Freedom frdm-kl03 product page at following link:

FRDM-KL03Z|Freedom Development Platform|Kinetis MCU|NXP

Click the Getting Started tab and follow instructions to setup tools and run examples from KSDK_1.3.

Note KSDK_1.3 will work with PE in KDS.  But newest KSDK_2.0 does not support PE.  So when installing tools make sure you install the KSDK_1.3.

Then for working with PE look here:  How to start with KSDK

Regards,

David

PS

For those that want to use KSDK_2.0 without PE the support is coming in June:

Introducing Kinetis SDK v2
