Hello,

I am interesting to FRDM-K82F and buy it. but I try to use KDS 3.0.0 create a new project, and then I have problem.

please let me know How to create and program the FRDM-K82F and then debug my project ?

Hello Kenta,

Please check the computer management , if it show the "mbed serial port" like this :

when you debug , please select the "GDB OpenOCD Debugging" :

if PE , select the "GDB PEMicro " , if Jlink , please select "GDB SEGGER J-Link".

You can also refer to this DOC to know more about the three debug methods :

If still can not work , please take a screenshot about the PC management and show it to me .

Can I use the Kinetis Design Studio 3.0.0 to route my firmware ? And download firmware into FRDM-K82F by USB Multilink , and then debug it ?

Hi Kenta,

What about your firmware?

The firmware i mentioned is the bootloader for debug , and only need one usb cable .

Please take a picture about  how your board link to PC and the configuration of KDS debugger,

that i can clearly know your meaning.

And please also tell me which debug method do you want to use , or your aim ， thank !

Hello  Kenta,

I have test it use the MULTILINK , it can work well .

- Please first change the bootloader  of the board , for  example , you can change it to jlink

use the "JLink_OpenSDA_V2_1.bin" .

- then connect the board ,debugger to PC :

then check the PC management , whether have the USB Multilink:

Then configure the debug configuration as this :

Then it can download well :

Oh Kenta ,  you have not project ? So how do you test it before ?

Please download the KSDK2.0 project for FRDM-K82, then you can use it on KDS3.0.

Pleas select the  SDK folder ,  it is the path of SDK_2.0_FRDM-K82F on you PC.
