Big Latencies in the ethernet connection for the I.MX6 sabrelite

Hello,

I have the sabrelite board, and i am running the linux image existing here (https://boundarydevices.com/debian-8-3-jessie-for-i-mx6-boards-february-2016-kernel-3-14-28/) . The problem that is with the ethernet connection with this board i am experiencing a widely latencies and sometimes the ssh connection doesn't work and the response time is too slow.

I have found some proposed solution like this (i.MX6Q SabreSD Catastrophic Ethernet Latencies, Implications of setting enable_wait_mode=off in 3.0.35 ) but i dont know how i can change the kernel params to set enable_wait_mode=off like is mentioned in the solutions page.

in general kernel boot parameter enable_wait_mode=off

aslo can be used with 3.14.28 kernel, as shown for example on

can i do the upgrade for u-boot directly on the sabrelite board with the linux image existing here (https://boundarydevices.com/debian-8-3-jessie-for-i-mx6-boards-february-2016-kernel-3-14-28/) .?
