Hi team,
I've been trying FlexIO PWM and I was able to obtain the waveform too. Yet, suddenly while debugging the board, I got the following error.

err.png

The most obvious solution was to erase the flash. I tried the following:

  • Debug --> Erase flash action using LinkScript :: Same error
  • Graphical Mass Erase @ MCUXpresso IDE :: Same error
  • External tool yet, the board's ID's are not matching as vID 0x1FC9 and PID 0x0135, mentioned here :: hence failed
How to resolve this issue guys?

Hi @GanesanGuru ,

Thank you for your interest in the NXP MIMXRT product, I would like to provide service for you.

Please refer to this document to recover the debugger:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-RT-Knowledge-Base/RT-board-recovery-for-debugger-connect-issues/ta...

You need to enter the serial download mode: SW7 1-OFF,2-OFF,3-OFF,4-ON, then power off and power on the board again, then do the mass erase at first.

After the mass erase, then you can switch back to the internal boot mode: SW7 1-off,2-off,3-on, 4-off.

Your issues normally caused by your debugger pin is used by the app, or boot related pin is used.

Please try to use the mass erase in the serial download mode to recover it.

If you still have issues about it, please kindly let me know, thanks.

Wish it helps you!

Best Regards,

Kerry

Hi @kerryzhou ,

For the 1st option, it has failed and states the same error.

For the 2nd option, the mismatch in dev & procuct no causes issues, as listed below:

Hi @GanesanGuru ï¼Œ

Which USB interface you are using? Please give me a picture of the connection.

To the serial download mode, the USB port for the SPT tool is the J9, for the original USB port for the debugging, you still need to connect it, as that will power on the board.

Normally, you even don't need to use the SPT tool, just the MCUXPresso IDE mass erase is OK in serial download mode.

Best Regards,

Kerry

Hi @kerryzhou ,

So, the steps that i should follow are as follows:

  1. I should power off the board
  2. Put the board in Serial download mode --> SW7 (0001)
  3. Connect J9 (as serial data)
  4. Connect J41 (original debugger - as power source)
  5. Try SP tool/ IDE tool to flash erase

Once erased, again put the board in internal flash mode --> SW7 (0010) and connect only J41.

whether this is what should be done? Correct me if wrong....

Hi @GanesanGuru ï¼Œ

Yes, your steps are totally correct, please try it on your side.

That's strange, because I confirmed your steps in the last week, but seems the reply didn't sendout to the post successfully.

Anyway, try your steps, feel free to try it, as it won't damage the chip.

Best Regards,

Kerry

Hi @GanesanGuru ,

What about this, in serial download mode, even you connect J9, result is OK or not?

If yes, then tool->Flash programmer Tools->erase all

After that, change to the internal boot mode again, import one new SDK demo,eg, led_blinky, then do the debug, whether that works or not?

Hi @kerryzhou ,

The board setup is displayed as follows, for your reference.

The board is still detected as iMX RT1064 EVK, as pop-up. Yet the mismatch of device ID's continue as illustrated in previous queries:

Hi @GanesanGuru ,

Seems your board has no power:

No led is lighting.

If the power LED is not ON, maybe your board is damaged.

Kerry

Hi @GanesanGuru ,

  What about this screen?

kerryzhou_0-1698890254357.png

Power off the board and power on the board, then the J9 usb insert also no VID/PID like the above?

BTW, can you run the RAM demo with debugger?
