Hi,

I am working on a solution which allow the firmware update without effecting current mode of operation.

Couple of questions that I have are:

Can ROM bootloader support multiple images e.g. one at address 0x0X and other at address 0x0Y?

Also does it have the facility to boot from a particular address based on some sort flags?

Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products and for the opportunity to serve you.
1) Can the ROM bootloader support multiple images e.g. one at address 0x0X and the other at address 0x0Y?
-- No, I'm afraid not.
2) Also does it have the facility to boot from a particular address based on some sort flags?
-- No.
Regarding your solution, I'd highly recommend you to refer to the application note to make it.
Have a great day,
TIC
