Is is possible to use u-boot.imx and SPL at the same time? I tried it many times but it failed.
When i use u-boot-ivt.img instead of u-boot.imx everything works fine (signed u-boot-ivt.img + signed SPL).
My question is actually what image do i need for hab encryption and why can't i combine u-boot.imx+ SPL
Comparison:
cat u-boot-ivt.img.log
Image Name: U-Boot 2019.01-rc1-00780-g0371a0
Created: Wed Jan 16 21:23:34 2019
Image Type: ARM U-Boot Firmware with HABv4 IVT (uncompressed)
Data Size: 462784 Bytes = 451.94 KiB = 0.44 MiB
Load Address: 17800000
Entry Point: 00000000
HAB Blocks: 0x177fffc0 0x0000 0x0006f020
cat u-boot.imx.log
Image Type: Freescale IMX Boot Image
Image Ver: 2 (i.MX53/6/7 compatible)
Mode: DCD
Data Size: 466944 Bytes = 456.00 KiB = 0.45 MiB
Load Address: 177ff420
Entry Point: 17800000
HAB Blocks: 0x177ff400 0x00000000 0x0006fc00
DCD Blocks: 0x00910000 0x0000002c 0x00000004
As you can see the Entry point for u-boot-ivt.img is 00000000 and there are no DCD blocks, if i am not wrong in need
those values to the encryption.
I hope somebody can help me out.
Hi Omar
nxp does not support i.MX6UL SPL in its releases, may be useful
to check third party tutorial about i.MX6 SPL boot
ventana/bootloader – Gateworks
Best regards

Where can i find the releases from nxp? I used the bsp from meta-freescale to build my images. How can i install u-boot.imx on the imx6ulevk?
