We are developing a media server on the iMX8QM board where we need to decode H.264 with intra refresh. This means the stream doesn't have I frames, only P frames with some I macroblocks to refresh the frame. This was supported on the iMX6 but haven't found anything related to the iMX8QM or the Amphion Malone decoder that explains if this is supported or how to use it.
Could you confirm if this is supported by the hardware decoder?
Would it need a different firmware to support it? Or driver?
We really need our product to support this format.
