About the I.MX8MP Linux BSP or APP upgrade solutions?

My device uses I.MX8M plus as the display Unit, which will be connected with each subsystem through the serial port.

1. What are the solutions for BSP upgrade or Linux kernel or APP upgrade?
2. How to use U disk to upgrade the above components, preferably with an user interface? What are the implementation options?
