iMX8MPlus HW accelerated JPEG encode

Hi,

Is there any current/planned way to use hardware acceleration to do HW-accelerated JPEG encode fed by a camera (specifically on iMX8MPlus)?   

I see several posts with conversations regarding HW-accelerated JPEG encode, but I didn't see any definitive answer/solution to the question.  There are discussions on different VPU implementations on different versions of iMX8, and different ways that the VPU could do this, but I guess what I'm really asking is there an implemented solution that doesn't require VPU expertise...
