Hi
We are using imx8qxp, Yocto3.0.
Kernel Version:5.4.70
We found that on the imx8qxp yocto 3.0 system, if the parameters behind the memtester are greater than 50% of the DDR free space, the system will kill the memtester because of insufficient memory.

As shown in the figure above, the available space is 1.2G. Execute the command memtester 700M, the system will report the following error, and then kill memtester.

We found that Yocto 3.0 system on i.MX8MM platform does not have this problem, and Yocto 2.5 system on i.MX8QXP platform does not have this problem.
Only Yocto 3.0 system on i.MX8QXP platform has this problem.

is not supported . then you must port in your board.

We found that Yocto 3.0 system on i.MX8MM platform does not have this problem, so imx8MQ also ok  but i saw " memtester not tainted" , try Bitbake by yours self?

as mentioned , we suggest that you use Yocto BSP 3.1 which is a Long Term Support version itself

thank you , Solved.

Hi @Rita_Wang and NXP teams,

We found that the Imx8mq evk board also has the problem on the 5.4.70 Yocto 3.0 demo image.

The 4.14.98 Yocto 2.5 and 5.10.9 Yocto 3.2 demo images on the Imx8mq evk board does not have this problem.

Could you please help to verify the 5.4.70 Yocto 3.0 BSP? Thanks.

You can see the Yocto release version align with the code https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/Releases.

How about the 3.1version using?
