Hello,
We are experiencing the same issue as described in the following post:
Deinterlacing with i.MX8MP – FPS Drop Issue with TW9992
We are currently using the 5.15 (kirkstone) BSP, and with the deinterlacing patches applied, the streaming frame rate is still quite low (around 15 FPS). In the referenced post, I noticed that NXP technical support mentioned the frame rate was improved to 25 FPS in the latest BSP release.
My questions are:
What were the main changes that led to this FPS improvement?
Is it possible to integrate these changes into the 5.15 (kirkstone) release we are currently using?
Thanks,
Best Regards.
Hi,
The performance improvement could relate to driver in drivers/staging/media/imx and gstreamer plugin. Therefore, if you need to upgrade, it is best to upgrade both the application layer and the driver layer simultaneously.
