i.MX8M can do hardware scaling?

Dear all,

i.MX8M does not have 2D-GPU.

      *This table is an excerpt from i.MX Graphics User’s Guide, Rev. 2, 04/2019.

For example, when scaling and displaying a movie, I guess to use DCSS.

Does the current BSP(L4.14.98_2.0.0_ga) support it?

Please let me know if there are any notes or limitations in using gstreamer or sink as compared to i.MX series with other 2D-GPU.

  yes, the DCSS may be used for scaling:

use section 7 (Multimedia) of "i.MX_Linux_Release_Notes.pdf" and section 6.3.5 [Display

Control Subsystem (DCSS)] of ''i.MX_Reference_Manual.pdf".
