I have found the binary Allegro design files for the i.MX8M Plus eval board (LAY-46370_B.brd), but I am unable to import these files into Altium. Could I have access to the ASCII Altium importable version (*.alg)?

Hello @JEaccelerate

NXP only provides the Allegro files, you can try converting the allegro files to an Altium files.

The only way to convert into Altium files is with the ASCII (.alg) Allegro file, which is created in Allegro (using Cadence's extracta.exe utility). I do not have Allegro, so I am unable to perform this conversion myself. I've seen threads similar to this on other product lines where tech support was able to email out the .alg version. I would appreciate the same being done for this layout (LAY-46370_B.brd).

Thank you for your help, though I think something went wrong with this.

The import didn't work and it looks like the file size is much too small (1kB). From the file name I think the wrong file may have been converted. I believe the file that needs to be converted with extracta.exe is "LAY-46370_B.brd" This brd file is 22.6MB so I imagine the resulting .alg file will be on the order of 10s of MB (if not 100s of MB).
