Hi,

I measured the current of my i.MX6 board then VDDSOC rush current observed roughly 6A on the way to ramp up around 1V.

Does anybody know it is normal or not? Please let me know which part consumes such big current?

Thanks.

Hi torus1000

max. currents are given in IMX6DQCEC  Table 8 "Maximum Supply Currents",

however at first moment of power-up these values may be significantly exceeded,

since power capacitors are charged and consume much current.

So this value depends on particular board and 6A may be considered

as also normal.

Best regards

igor
